AXA Philippines has introduced its newest health insurance policy. AXA Health Care Access is a comprehensive and affordable solution to cover hospitalization and medical requirements through a modest premium, which can be paid monthly or annually.
“We know all too well that sudden medical emergencies can happen to anyone, much worse if it rears its head during a pandemic,” said AXA Philippines President and CEO Rahul Hora. “We developed Health Care Access as a way for Filipino individuals and families to protect themselves from life’s unexpected moments—freeing them from their worries while affording a more secure future.”
2 types of Health Care Access plans
Health Care Access Prime provides comprehensive coverage of up to 5 million pesos (₱5,000,000) annually. The plan is ideal for those who have no HMO like freelancers, consultants, and entrepreneurs. It offers inpatient and outpatient care, and emergency care treatment up to the Annual Benefit Limit (ABL). This also includes an Annual Physical Exam starting from seven basic exams, with life and accident insurance benefit of up to ₱500,000. Moreover, customers can include optical care benefit to the plan by paying a small additional annual premium.
Health Care Access Lite is for individuals with HMO coverage from their employment but who want or prefer additional protection. The plan is designed to complement an existing health care plan or a personal health fund. It offers inpatient and emergency care treatment up to the ABL. It even includes life and accident insurance from ₱50,000 to ₱500,000. Moreover, you can enhance the coverage of your plan with outpatient care, optical care, or dental care benefit by also paying a small additional premium.
Benefits during pandemic
AXA Health Care Access provides full coverage and cashless payment arrangements. This is important during the ongoing pandemic. The policy also comes with free access to 24/7 teleconsultation via voice or video call with a medical professional.
It comes with other benefits like the Longevity Health Fund that a policy owner can tap for health setbacks as he/she grows older and when he/she needs it the most—beyond the age of 75 years. Customers get guaranteed renewability, family coverage within one plan, and even a premium reduction of 10% when the plan is extended to at least one family member, plus the option to add a ‘booster’ or add-on depending on your specific needs.
The Critical Illness Booster facilitates additional cash benefit if the policyholder gets diagnosed with any of the 56 critical illness conditions identified. It can also be used to cover other medical costs and can even serve as an income replacement. On the other hand, the Annual Benefit Limit automatically increases the policy owner’s annual benefit limit by 10% every 3 years to help keep up with rising medical expenses.
AXA Health Care Access will be available beginning August 16, 2021. It encourages a more proactive and preparedness-oriented attitude towards health for everyone, allowing Filipinos to take full charge of their physical wellbeing for the future.
