Decathlon is pursuing its goal to open at least 10 stores in the country in 2026. The iconic sporting goods retailer opened its 20th local branch on May 15—located at the second level, Building A, of the massive Ayala Malls Manila Bay. This is the brand’s biggest collaboration with Ayala Malls so far.
“This isn’t just a store; Decathlon is Manila’s biggest playground,” said Decathlon Philippines CEO Hathaipat Theintangpiriya. “But we aren’t stopping here with many more projects already in the works.” He also reiterated the company’s mission to gather people together through sports and to make wellbeing accessible to all in the country.
Decathlon Manila Bay offers a grand selection of over 5,000 products catering to more than 70 sports–all housed under a single roof and with the goal of providing each local athlete with innovative, high-quality, and affordable sports and fitness equipment.

“Today, we stand in the first 100% modernized Decathlon City Store in the Philippines. We only dreamed of creating a prime destination to make sport and wellbeing accessible in the metro—a place where the community by the Bay here in Aseana City and Parañaque can connect, play, and experience the joy of movement. And today, it is here. That dream is now,” said Decathlon Ayala Malls Manila Bay Store Manager Ila Hebron.
Decathlon Philippines has an ongoing goal of operating 50 local stores by 2030. The retail chain opened the year with the opening of its 18th store that is located in Cebu. In February, it opened its SM City Grand Central branch in Caloocan City.

The company revealed that it is preparing for the upcoming branch openings in Nuvali (Sta. Rosa, Laguna), Makati City, Cavite, and Davao. It remains on track in brining high-quality, yet affordable sports accessories and fitness items to more Filipinos in more communities nationwide.
Decathlon originated in France in 1976, back then offering more affordable sportswear, shoes, and fitness gear for more than 60 sports. It opened its first Philippine store in 2017.

The Ayala Malls store opening comes as Decathlon Philippines gear up to celebrate its 9th year with a flagship running event on August 30, 2026 at the SM Mall of Asia. The event will feature 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM categories. Decathlon Philippines invites all athletes and fitness enthusiasts from all levels to join this celebration.
