Filipino premium food brand ANGKAN launches; introduces Angkan Premium Fish Sauce 45°N

ANGKAN officially marked its beginning as a Filipino premium food brand with the launch of its first product Angkan Premium Fish Sauce 45°N on June 26 at The Aristocrat Restaurant, Roxas Boulevard, Malate, Manila.

More than a product introduction, the event served as a statement of what ANGKAN hopes to bring forward: a deeper respect for Filipino flavor, a higher standard for everyday ingredients, and a renewed pride in products made by Filipinos.

Rooted in the meaning of its name, ANGKAN represents family, lineage, and where one comes from. This spirit shaped the tone of the launch, as the brand shared its purpose of creating food products that are honest, carefully made, and worthy of a place in Filipino homes, restaurants, and eventually, global markets.

The afternoon opened with the story behind the brand, led by ANGKAN’s founders, who shared how food has always been part of their family’s journey. From there, the program moved into the official reveal of Angkan Premium Fish Sauce 45°N, the brand’s first expression of flavor and its first proof of standard.

The product was introduced as a premium fish sauce made with only real ingredients: anchovies, sardines, and sea salt. It is naturally fermented for 12 months, made through First Press quality, and carries a 45°N premium strength, reflecting a higher level of natural protein and flavor concentration. These qualities give ANGKAN its deeper umami, richer flavor, and stronger character, while staying true to a cleaner ingredient direction with no sugar added, no preservatives, and no artificial flavors.

Throughout the launch, ANGKAN emphasized that its goal is not to make cooking complicated, but to help make food taste better through better ingredients. The brand positioned its first product not merely as another fish sauce, but as a Filipino food product with a clear standard: real ingredients, stronger umami, and better food.

The event also highlighted the product’s manufacturing and quality principles, giving guests a clearer understanding of what makes ANGKAN different from ordinary fish sauces in the market. This was followed by a culinary segment and guided tasting, where guests experienced Angkan Premium Fish Sauce 45°N through prepared dishes, including a canapé where ANGKAN was used as a finishing flavor, and stir-fried beef where it served as a cooking ingredient.

Through the tasting, guests were invited to notice the aroma, depth, umami, balance, and cleaner finish that ANGKAN brings to food. This part of the program gave the launch its most meaningful proof: the product was not only presented, but experienced.

The event concluded with appreciation for the guests, partners, team members, media friends, and everyone who supported the beginning of ANGKAN. The brand also opened its launch counter for guests who wanted to bring home the first bottles and explore restaurant, reseller, and business opportunities.
