Go Shopping Philippines rolls out mega app for iOS and Android devices

Go Shopping Philippines (GSP) has formally launched its mega app, which is now available for free downloading in the App Store and Google Play. Several brands and stores in various categories have also started processing order and purchase transactions.

“This is the time to challenge the whole ecosystem of e-commerce in the Philippines,” said GSP CEO Neil G. La-as during the online launch of the Go Shopping Philippines app. GSP promises to fight against the proliferation of fake goods across the online shopping landscape.

“Never again should an online buyer order for something he hasn’t seen exactly and wait in high expectation only to be frustrated,” GSP’s launching press release stated. “Never again will shoppers pay the exorbitant cost for food or basic commodities only because we have a pandemic.”

Through the mega app, GSP Mall promises to bring different products to consumers—from consumer goods (fresh produce, food and beverage, supermarket products, etc.) to appliances, home furnishings, and even essential services like dental, medical, and veterinary services, among many others. The app will even carry a travel booking facility and several other unique services.

GSP also aims to be the first mega digital mall in the country. It plans to have its own trade hall specifically for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The platform will connect consumers with various businesses and producers from across the country.

“The competition excites me personally because despite all the odds, despite all the existing players in the e-commerce industry, I still see the need for a much bigger platform that is responsive to the interest of the market for a more sophisticated digital lifestyle,” said La-as. “We will make it easy for you and we will protect you,” he assured.

GSP Mall is more than an online shopping platform. To provide a uniquely exciting experience for its users, GSP is also carrying complete entertainment app features—GFlix, Go Live, Go TV, and Go Cineplex. The company is also collaborating with various partners to secure content for the app and eventually produce its own original content. As of this writing, GSP has signed a partnership with BL-series producer Pepps TV for content production.
