Luxury electric vehicle (EV) maker Aito is bringing its flagship premium electric SUV to the Philippines. The automotive brand, a joint venture between Chinese EV manufacturer Seres and giant technology firm Huawei, on April 10 launched the Aito M9 during the first day of the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
Aito M9 is paving the way for a line of luxury EVs that is taking aim at some of the counterpart heritage brands in the automotive world. The new luxury EV easily impressed the car enthusiasts, the usual crowd drawn by the annual international car show. It boasts of modern features that befit the acronym that stands for its maker’s name, Aito–Adding Intelligence to Auto.

1. Impressive design
The design of the AITO M9 leaves a lasting impression, blending purity, elegance, and innovation. Its streamlined two-tone body evokes the skyline, creating two distinct halves—the upper half guides the eye to the luxurious interior, while the lower half suggests a powerful yet smart platform with advanced driving technology. Its dimensions (5230mm x 1999mm x 1800mm) makes it easy to drive in the city, and its long wheelbase (3110mm) provides a smooth and stable ride.
The sleek design features ultra-low wind resistance with a drag coefficient of 0.279 Cd, enhancing aerodynamics and efficiency. The Galaxy headlights and Starlight taillights create a dynamic flow that harmonizes light and shadow, enhancing the M9’s distinctive exterior design.

The intelligent Range Extender platform (REEV) makes “range anxiety” a thing of the past, featuring an onboard generator with high fuel-to-electricity conversion efficiency. The fuel tank can be filled in just 5 minutes, effectively acting as a “power bank” that adds another 1,000 kilometers of range, enhancing overall energy efficiency and optimizing the driving experience. In total, the combined range exceeds 1,200 km.

Step inside the AITO M9, where first-class comfort meets intelligent technology. The spacious cabin features flexible seating arrangements and Zero Gravity seats that mimic a weightless environment for ultimate support. Aito M9 is available in two variants in PH–battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended range electric vehicle (EREV). Price starts at ₱5,757,000 for the REEV Max, ₱6,357,000 for the REEV Ultra, and ₱6,557,000 for the BEV Ultra variant.
