Lenovo has mounted a grand opening for its second Legion concept store. The giant PC manufacturer inaugurated the new store on January 31, 2020 on the second floor of the Cyberzone area in SM City Cebu.
Legion Store SM Cebu is the second concept store of the gaming brand in the country, following Legion Store SM City North EDSA in Quezon City. It is also Legion’s first store outside Metro Manila and in the Visayas region. The expansion is part of the brand’s thrust to bring its products closer to the gaming communities in more parts of the country.
For the opening, Legion hosted gaming tournaments on Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat X, and Left 4 Dead 2. A special hardware promo was also rolled out on the same day.
“Putting up a Legion store in one of the Philippines’ major cities is a significant stride for Lenovo,” said Lenovo Philippines General Manager Michael Ngan. “We work very hard in developing best-performing devices and part of the goal is to make these products accessible.”
Launched locally in 2017, Legion is Lenovo’s dedicated gaming brand that offers a wide array of products for a complete and immersive experience. It showcases top-of-the-line gaming tools like monitors, laptops, towers, and other peripherals and accessories.
When asked what’s next for Legion after this store opening, Ngan hinted plans for another concept store in another region in the country. “You can expect to see more Lenovo and Legion stores across the market and more of our presence in local events. In fact, we have something special for our gamers based in the North shortly so stay tuned.”
Legion Store SM Cebu opens daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
