A group of female motorbike riders had a fun road trip activity in February. The OMG Lady Squad, a group of Honda Genio women riders, toured to Twin Lakes in Tagaytay City (Cavite) from the Honda Prestige, Inc. site in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
The organizers made sure that the ladies would have fun and would take more time catching up with each other in every designated stopover along the way. The activity was aimed at encouraging more women who are passionate about motorcycle riding to pursue their passion and enjoy life.
Jemelle Torres, a member of the group, had one of the most interesting stories to share during the fun-ride activity. Being a four-time Philippine Looper and a Honda user since she was 11 years old, Torres wants to inspire more ladies to follow their hearts and have fun.
“Being a lady rider takes much confidence to ride,” she said. “But it satisfies me to know the different cultures in each region. That is why I love the Philippine loop. And if you want to make a difference and take the loop challenge, you only need a great bike, and that is Honda. And this Genio fits beginner riders who want to follow my steps as a Lady Philippine Looper. Sobrang gaan niya, kayang dalhin kahit saan.”
For Patricia Silva, owning a Honda Genio not just enabled her to enjoy mobility for her recreational activities and basic errands. She also uses her motorbike to earn a living, especially during the ongoing pandemic. “Dahil sa Genio, nakakagala ka na, may income ka pa, as partner ko sa deliveries ng shawarma. Kaya mahal ko itong Genio ko,” she shared.
Meanwhile, for Jemaica Estremos, owning and riding a Genio helped her gain more friends. “Dahil sa Genio, I had my group. Mas enjoy ang travel because of them. Thanks to my Genio, naging enjoyable ang travel ko,” she said.
The Honda Philippines’ Honda Genio comes with features that are ideal for lady riders, especially for beginners—especially its lightweight and safety features.
