Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) is teaming up with leading e-commerce platform Shopee for the launch of Shopee Bayanihan: Pamaskong Pambata for CRIBS Foundation. The non-government organization is a foster care institution that provides temporary shelter for abandoned, neglected, and abused infants and children.
“We are happy to support this Pamaskong Pambata effort with Shopee to help the causes of CRIBS Foundation,” said PLDT and Smart FVP and Head of National Key Accounts Precy P. Katigbak. “As part of the country’s largest integrated telco, PLDT, we have incorporated child-safeguarding policies into our business. These cover various processes and programs for the workplace, marketing activities, product and service offerings, and trade community engagements; that’s why this campaign is very close to our hearts.”
Pamaskong Pambata follows a previously successful campaign that provided support for front liners. Aside from that, Smart has also strengthened its relationship with Shopee by making its reloading services and products available through the e-commerce platform amid the pandemic.
“Shopee is proud to partner with Smart once again, this time for our Shopee Bayanihan: Pamaskong Pambata initiative, which aims to support the Filipino youth,” said Shopee Philippines Director Martin Yu. “Through this partnership, we want to encourage users to make a difference with their donations and uplift people in need. Shopee is committed to empowering and supporting our local communities and will continue to team up with other organizations to create more positive impacts in the Filipino community, especially in this season of giving,” he added.
