Sony PH gives donation to typhoon victims via Save the Children

Sony Philippines has generated and turned over P500,000 for the victims of the devastation of Typhoon Ulysses in Metro Manila and other provinces in Luzon. The fund was raised from both the company and its employees through a matching gift program.

The amount was coursed through Save the Children Philippines, the local chapter of the world’s leading independent organization supporting minors. For over three decades, the group has been protecting and supporting Filipino kids in need, saving lives in emergencies, and advocating for children’s rights.

Additionally, Sony Headquarters in Japan has donated a P1.15 million fund through its ‘Emergency Disaster and Relief Fund for Children’ in partnership with Save the Children to provide immediate support to children and their families at the onset of natural disasters and humanitarian crises, as well as medium to long-term recovery programs.

Sony continues its commitment to back Save the Children to fulfill its joint vision of building a better world for and with the children.
