The Christmas season is getting more splendid this year at Splendido Tagaytay Hotel and Country Club as the exclusive accommodation and membership club kicks off its special holiday celebrations with the lighting of its first giant Christmas tree.
The lighting ceremony—held on November 22, 2025 at The Veranda within the Country Club—carried the theme ‘Sustainable Christmas,’ which aptly highlighted the grandeur of the 23-foot-tall Christmas tree. The installation is unique as it is an entirely upcycled creation, made from fallen tree branches picked up from across the estate and meticulously assembled to showcase nature’s raw beauty.
“Sustainability is prettily reflected in each detail of Splendido’s first outdoor Christmas tree,” said Rebecca Coquia, Splendido Tagaytay and Country Club’s Resident Manager. “Our holiday celebration places a spotlight on our centerpiece’s eco-conscious design, ornamented by Filipino artistry and accompanied by heartfelt community partnerships. Thus, we are setting the tone for a more festive and meaningful Christmas here.”
The giant Christmas tree, which took about 2 months to be assembled and decorated, is made more splendid by native ornaments—bilao, salakot, handwoven rattan balls, and Capiz lanterns that boast of local craftsmanship as well as heritage. It is lighted every night by numerous LED light bulbs, making it shine really bright and magnificent, a holiday fixture that serves as an added attraction to the Country Club.
The sustainable giant Christmas tree with native ornaments is also complemented by minimalist rattan Christmas trees that are installed and illuminated within the hotel premises. The numerous indoor Christmas trees are adorned by subtle garlands that align with the eco-centric theme in the entire estate.
Meaningful celebration
The Christmas lighting ceremony was made even more meaningful by the Symbolic Gift Giving with the beneficiary, the Chosen Children Village Foundation, an organization based in Silang, Cavite that shelters abandoned, surrendered, and neglected children with special needs. The foundation develops special children’s independence, self-relance, and overall wellbeing in an inclusive and nurturing environment.
“We are grateful for the support extended to our foundation by Splendido Tagaytay,” said Rowena Taylor, Chosen Children Village Executive Director. “This is indeed a more meaningful Christmas for both Splendido and Chosen Children Foundation.” The symbolic gifts represent donation that was handed to the charitable institution.
Later in the night, in his speech as a distinguished guest during the event, Hon. Lyndon Bruce, the Municipal Mayor of Laurel, Batangas thanked Splendido for making this Christmas more colorful in the municipality (the estate is within the jurisdiction of the town).
The St. Francis Xavier Church Choir of Nasugbu, Batangas filled the air with classic Filipino carols during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, amid the light drizzles that made the moment even more magical.
The feast that came after the ceremony sealed the night in the most endearing ways. The special dinner showcased Splendido Tagaytay’s version of the most well-loved Filipino Christmas dishes and specialties, which included bibingka, hot chocolate, ensaladang gulay, lechon pork belly, inihaw na bangus, kare-kare, leche flan with macapuno, and fruit salad.

Following the memorable Christmas tree lighting, Splendido Tagaytay Hotel and Country Club rolls out the festive holiday season with special offerings to members and guests. ‘Simbang Gabi sa Splendido‘ began on December 15 and will last until December 24, held every 6 p.m. at the Laurel Function Room.
For accommodations, the Christmas Room Package is available from December 23 to 26. The bundle includes a Christmas Dinner Buffet for two, Breakfast for two, and Christmas giveaways.
The New Year’s Eve Room Package, available from December 30 to January 2, 2026 includes a New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet for two and Countdown Party tickets for two, complimentary breakfast for two, and special Christmas giveaways.
