Sun Life Grepa Financial, Inc. (Sun Life Grepa) has turned over charitable donations to various groups as it continues to support pandemic relief efforts nationwide.
“At Sun Life Grepa, we are aware that we are in a position to help not only our clients but also people in our community who are trying their best to deal with the pandemic,” said Sun Life Grepa President Richard S. Lim. “With these donations, we hope to be part of the solution and we continue to find ways to be of value to our countrymen during this pandemic and beyond.”
The life insurance company (a joint venture of Sun Life Philippines and the Yuchengco Group of Companies) has donated food items to more than a thousand medical frontliners in 14 hospitals across the country. It also made donations to the Philippine Red Cross for the latter’s efforts to aid Covid-19 patients under its care.
These donations came on top of other pandemic relief initiatives rolled out by Sun Life Grepa in recent months. It joined other Sun Life Group of Companies in implementing the Remote Online Medical Exam (ROME) service, which rolled out in September 2020. Through ROME, clients can easily get the required medical examination (when buying a policy) online video conferencing with accredited medical examiners.
Sun Life Grepa has also made it easier to get insurance, extended premium payments of clients as well as opened a 24/7 contact center for its group business clients. Lastly, the company also offered a hospital benefit product to those who need it.
