Sun Life Grepa expands online consult service of unit GMDC Telemedicine

Sun Life Grepa Financial, Inc. (Sun Life Grepa) has expanded the services of its online consultation division Grepa Medical and Diagnostic Center (GMDC). The move is aimed at helping decongest hospitals across the country, keep physical distancing, and lower the spread of Covid-19 particularly the highly transmissible Delta variant.

“We have seen how telemedicine is an extraordinary tool,” said Sun Life Grepa President Richard S. Lim. “By extending our telemedicine services outside our employees, people who are experiencing medical ailments and illnesses during this time can receive appropriate and timely medical advice without necessarily going to hospitals, minimizing the risk of being exposed to Covid-19.

GMDC Telemedicine is a virtual consultation service that facilitates safe and convenient medical intervention for outpatient cases nationwide. It used a video conferencing platform to enable clients to virtually interact with doctors about their non-urgent health concerns while they remain in the safety and comfort of home.

Through GMDC Telemedicine, clients can even enjoy a more convenient scheduling system. This is to help prevent long queues and waiting time for an online consultation.

Resident doctors of the service are available from Mondays to Fridays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Consultation fee ranges between ₱650 and ₱1,000. It will also depend on the inquiry’s nature. Fees could be settled through RCBC Bank transfer. Health card (HMO) holders may contact their HMO providers for a Letter of Authorization. Corporate clients would be charged the consultation fees to their accounts.

Clients can call the GMDC coordinator by phone at (02) 8886 65 86 or email gmdc@sunlifegrepa.com to schedule an appointment.
