vivo Philippines is supporting the hardworking and reliable medical frontliners amid the continuing battle to flatten the curve of Covid-19 in the country. The mobile device brand does this in a more meaningful way—through giving out handwritten appreciation letters (expressing gratitude and encouragement) aside from donating thousands of surgical masks.
The company is coursing its donations to select hospitals through the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and other local government offices. Recently, the OVP distributed those masks and letters to frontliners who serve the Philippine General Hospital. vivo also reached out to distribute the same to health workers at the St. Luke’s Medical Center – Global City through coordination with the Bonifacio Global City Administration Office. Meanwhile, vivo directly handed its donations to The Medical City in Ortigas, Pasig City.
“With their valiant efforts, our medical frontliners are truly the heroes in this battle we are waging, but we also understand they are also human and can be physically and emotionally exhausted,” said vivo Philippines PR Lead Charisma Buan.
vivo also handed out handwritten letters to some Covid-19 patients with the aim of providing them hope. “Along with providing much-needed support, we also want to instill hope during this pandemic, especially to the victims and their families. With our modest contribution, we hope to help our medical frontliners in flattening the curve soon,” Buan ended.
