Travelers now have more options when booking flights to Batanes. Cebu Pacific Air has finally announced the start of its regular flights to the country’s smallest and northernmost province.
The budget-friendly airline’s first ever commercial flight to Basco, Batanes is set on March 25, 2018. It will be through the company’s subsidiary Cebgo. From then on until October 27, 2018, Cebu Pacific Air will fly once daily between Manila and Basco. Daily flight will take off from the NAIA Terminal 4 at 6:20 a.m., while return trips from Basco will depart at 9:15 a.m.
“Our new flight to Basco is in keeping with our commitment to connect more of the Philippines and make air travel safe, affordable, reliable, and fun-filled for ‘everyJuan,” said Cebgo President and CEO Alexander Lao. “What makes this route more special is that netizens were actively engaged in the selection of our new destination—our customers were part of the progress.”
Most requested destination
Batanes was the most requested destination by netizens who participated in the carrier’s recent crowdsourcing campaign ‘CEBFlyMeTo,’ a social media-based poll that aimed to find out which destinations Cebu Pacific Air’s customers want the airline to fly to next. Fortunately, the island-province is already commercial aviation-ready.

Aside from Batanes, other popular choices in the list were Daet in Camarines Norte, Mati in Davao Oriental, Bantayan Island in Cebu, San Vicente in Palawan, and Siquijor. These new destinations are being assessed for commercial flight-readiness, considering all other significant factors like airport infrastructure, passenger facilities, and safety and security processes.
Introductory flights
Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific Air held an introductory all-in seat sale for the inaugural Manila to Basco flights on February 12 and 13 (seats still available until they last). Travelers who book flights in this route scheduled from March 25 to May 31 are getting special introductory fare rate of P2,699. Flights from June 1 to October 27 get an all-in introductory seat sale fare of P2,399. Year-round fare for Manila to Basco flights can be booked for as low as P4,241 all-in.
