Macao Imperial Tea is offering another Monstrous treat for all milk tea lovers in the country. The beverage chain is bringing back its popular offer to upsize Cheesecake and Pearl Milk Tea drink to 1-liter for free all Mondays of August 2020.
This promo rolls out on August 10, 17, 24, and 31 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. only. Every purchase of the two variants mentioned in Maior size (700 mL) is entitled to a free Monster Upsize but only within the 3-hour period.
Customers can avail of this promo for a maximum of five drinks only at a time. This means that if they want to buy more, they have to fall back in line, which is expected to get really long. The promo is offered in all Macao Imperial Tea branches nationwide, except for its store in Ayala Malls Central Bloc.
This promo was announced on August 1, when Metro Manila and nearby cities were still under the general community quarantine (GCQ). This shall continue even during the stricter modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) period (until August 18) as qualified transactions are for delivery and takeout.
Macao Imperial Tea drew flak from numerous customers when it offered a similar offer on June 12, 2020. That one-day promo was criticized online as many customers complained that the specified drinks covered by the offer ran out of stock earlier than usual, while some stores imposed early cut-off on orders due to the overwhelming influx of customers. At the same time, many third-party delivery personnel (GrabFood, foodpanda, LalaFood) reported setbacks as they had to get in the queue that lasted hours just to place orders, especially in busy branches.
